Wait! Your dandelions are pink?! 🙂

*Mine* are. 😊

I take it the “Self-indulgence” category you indicated refers to the not-true-to-life color.

And I can’t resist asking whether you used pinking shears to cut out the true color.

Haha you are endlessly clever. 😊 I used infrared…

Do you have a camera that’s been converted to infrared?

Oh no—sorry for my brevity: it was an infrared filter I used in NIKEfex.

Haha—yep! I love dandelions—their structures and transformations. But I am not particularly fond of their yellow gold color. So I thought it would be interesting to see them as another color of my own making.

I’ll grant you that dandelions have a fascinating structure. Because my focus is native plants I don’t photograph dandelions, but I’ve learned that there are native species that produce similar seed heads. One that grows in my neighborhood is called silverpuff:
If I ever get back to Europe I’ll make a point of photographing dandelions in their native territory.

Photography chicanery at its best. Excellent.

Amazing. The water drop on the dandelion – just wonderful.1
