Clematis
Morgan has a Clematis vine growing on both sides of her garden wall. I shot this flower from an angle through an opening and into the light. The blurred background created this strange orangish color, which I have not modified through post-processing. Makes for an interesting backdrop to the blossom.
Gorgeous!

One thing I really enjoy about your images is that they look one way when they open in my email. Then, when I go to your blog to view the image, it looks different. It’s like getting a bonus every time!

How interesting to know this! Thank you for mentioning it. I am curious to see if I observe the same thing. I’m imagining the images might be smaller in email format, and perhaps also bordered by things that may distract from the image? I’ll check it out! 🙂

I think it’s simply the difference in scale. But the same thing doesn’t happen with other images I receive in my email.

I think George Harrison would’ve liked this. Something about the sun coming… This expresses more with a whisper than can be expressed with a shout.

It’s nice to think that he would.

Love the background, so complementary to the soft yellow of the stamens.
