Very nice. This one calls for some explanation. The shafts of light add to the dramatic mood. The processing (?) has made the drops of water stand out from the petals in a pleasing way (on the left). I wonder about those shafts of light on the right … was it a particularly misty day? Early? In the woods? The drops on the right looking to still be in free-fall … though I think they have landed and give the appearance of flight for being cast in shadow? Overall a wonderful image that has (obviously) got me thinking and looking closely. Thanks for posting. D

Thank you so much, D, for your time and thoughtful questions about the image. Usually now I can no longer retain in my memory circumstances/location, etc. for photographs I take. Fairly certain though I did not shoot during rain so drops on right are illusion. Somehow I see a fish swimming underwater when I look at this. My brain does funny things these days. 🙂

What a lovely mood you’ve set here. It invites much deeper contemplation than just a passing glance.
