There’s a dream-like “something” to it…very nice, Melanie.

This would make a great Japanese silk screen. Impressive photo.

I really, really like this, it reminds me of Van Gogh’s drawings,

Thank you so much, Anne Rose. I really appreciate your kind words.
It’s a puzzling photo. —– tone looks like Chinese blush drawing though, the composition is not Chinese like.
If this was an abstract clack appeared on the wall, I may see like that, though obviously this is a tree.

I agree. It suggests a Chinese/Japanese style. Beautifully rendered.
Reaching for the light,
The tree in a frozen dance.

That’s so beautiful – reminds me of a delicate pattern on a Chinese fabric….beautiful……

Oh, I like that, thank you, Seonaid.
It looks like a drawing of Harry Lauder’s walking stick (Corylus avellana ‘Contorta’)
June 6, 2013 at 11:25 pm
Thanks, Allen. You know when I look up Corylus avellana ‘Contorta’ etc., the images don’t quite look like this tree–they look a lot fuller, more like shrubs. This tree is comparatively taller, too, than the images I see. Maybe I could send you the original, pre-post-processing, so you have a better idea?

If you’d like to send it along Melanie, sure that would be fine. I guess what I meant was the contorted branches in your tree shot reminded me of the contorted branches of the Harry Lauder’s walking stick. You’re right-that plant is more shrub than tree.

Thanks, Allen! I may do that because I’ve always wanted to know what type of tree this is, and I can never seem to catch the owner of the house out and about. I see what you mean now, and yes there is a similarity in the contorted branches.
