Beautiful color and detail.

That’s just beautiful. Bizarrely, it makes me long for rain (which we have no shortage of at the moment).

Thank you, Richard. We are experiencing more than our fair share of rain here, too. But at least it makes for wonderful light and color in between the downpours. 🙂

One of my favourite flowers. I’ve none in my garden since we moved 3 years ago – I need to plant some!
So delicately beautiful and even more sensory dripping in rain,

They really are so lovely, and there are so many around here. They seem to be a favorite among gardeners in the area. I hope you’ll be able to plant some; they’re just wonderful when they bloom.

You reminded me of the Beatles song “Dig A Peony.” Oops-that was Dig A Pony.

One of my favorites too, although we are severely limited in the varieties we can grow out here. Back east, spring was always marked by peonies and lilacs…ahhhh….

Ahhhh, yes, the lilacs. Ours have just passed. And what a heavenly scent!! There are many peonies here, and they’re in full bloom at the moment. So lovely!

Blousy and beautiful. One of my housemates remarked some years ago that they were like old ladies swimming caps!

Ohhh, I like that–the swimming caps! That’s sweet. 🙂
