You’re so far ahead of us–no fair! Not fair! Not at all fair! (Keep them coming!)

I think, it’s more than a shades. 🙂
I’ve been making a joke “These days, the nature is
copying the man’s design” —- some garden variety became
looks too plasticly. (for long shelf-life)

I think you’re right about that!

From Miss Mary’s garden?
April 1, 2013 at 7:10 pm
No, this one is from another neighbor’s yard. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by gifted gardeners! Do you happen to know what flower this is?

Beautiful indeed. D

Thank you. They caught my eye from a block away! 🙂

A sight for sore eyes!

Indeed. It’s wonderful to see these bright colors springing up.
Lovely – Spring at last!

At last! (I think). It was below freezing again last night!
April 2, 2013 at 2:47 pm
These are so pretty.

Thank you, Maralee.
These beautiful flowers are giving me the itch for spring.

Me, too! It was below freezing again last night! upper 20s. Do you happen to know what kind of flowers these are?
Judging by the 6 petals, their shape and the leaves, I’d say that they’re tulips. Early tulips!

Great, thanks, Allen! Wow, that does seem early for tulips!

So pretty, Melanie…so rich…..
April 2, 2013 at 1:40 am
Thank you, Scott! They’re in a neighbor’s yard and I was drawn to them the instant I saw them (from quite a distance away, they’re so bright!).

You’re welcome…it was like a beacon almost…. I’ve heard that putting Cheetos on the ground beneath a new bird feeder is a way of attracting birds to the location…they’re drawn to the orange-ish color…so I’ve been told. My dogs would eat the Cheetos before the birds would have a chance to notice, so I haven’t experimented with it yet…. 😉

They really are gorgeous! What are they?
April 2, 2013 at 5:24 am
They are strikingly bright, these flowers. I actually brought down the real saturation before posting for fear that people might think I bumped it up too much! 🙂 I’m not sure what they are, but I’ve asked both blogging friends Audrey and Allen, both expert gardeners, to see if they can identify them. If they can’t, I could always ask my neighbor, but that would mean having to talk to someone in person?!?! 😯 😉

I KNOW. The foliage looks like a kind of tulip. I’m grinning here…
April 2, 2013 at 3:51 pm
🙂 And you’re right! Allen thinks it’s a tulip, too.

Wonderful color and I love the water drops on the petals.
