  1. What an unusual and intriguing composition, Melanie–a really interesting new take on the art of figure study.

    • Thank you, Gary. I’m glad you respond to the image this way.

  2. Beautiful, Melanie. Sometimes the empty spaces speak as well as those we fill up.

  3. Nicely done. The light complements the figure, which complements the light – how nice. D

  4. Space in perspective and the time in perspective.
And trap a person to face the life in perspective.
It’s a very good mind boggling image.
While leave the mind boggle and make a mouth shut. 🙂

  7. Your photo made me think and wonder and maybe that’s exactly what you had in mind. Sculpted beings have always been appealing to me.

    • Yes, that is what I was aiming for. I, too, am drawn to “sculpted beings” as you say (I like how you put that).

  9. Fantastically eloquent composition – it has a quiet power (and a focused anger) that works more the longer you look. I think it’s great.

    • Thank you very much, Richard. I really appreciate the perceptive attention you bring.

Great composition. With that negative space, there is room for a title – you could create a banner for your blog – Lemony Shots. 😀

    • Hmmmm, another very good suggestion! I’ll seriously consider that! I’ve avoided a banner here, because with the dark background I find that it’s distracting (at least to me). But I’ll experiment and see what I think!
