  1. Wow, you set a pretty high bar for these photographs to be rejects! I really like them all, but the first one is so dramatic. Beautiful.

  2. I especially like last three photos which stands the edge to be an abstract.
    Very striking images.

    • I’m glad to know that you like those three in particular. Thank you.

  4. Toujours aussi merveilleuses tes photos. On se croirait dans un monde merveilleux.

    • That means a lot to me coming from you, Val. Your own photography is amazing and beautiful to me.

  5. The hoar frost in the last three is great. I was just reading that ice clarity depends on how many bubbles (oxygen) were squeezed from the water when it froze. White ice=lots of oxygen in the water and clear ice=less oxygen.

    • Great information, Allen. Thank you! I’ll hold on to that for the future!

  11. Wow I love the one with the leave on the ice. You know, you can make an exhibition of this wonderful serie of the fronzen pond. And you just call it ‘The frozen Pond”. 😉

    • Wow, that’s very nice encouragement! I’m grateful for that!

  12. I can see why they did not fit in with the other posts (colour etc), but these are absolutely wonderful shots (again).

  13. I love the colors in the first ones. I agree with Yvonne. Have you had a show recently?

    • Me? . . . You’re very kind to ask that, George. My head is stuffed most of the time in my research project. I managed to submit and show some work last year, which was a very positive experience, but I just can’t seem to get organized enough to submit work in time for consideration. The deadlines just pass me right by. I’d rather be taking photographs than filling out paperwork and stuffing envelopes…

  14. You have to stop calling these “rejects!”

    February 20, 2013 at 6:30 am

    • 🙂 I guess I could change the title, but now I’m on a roll! 🙂

      February 21, 2013 at 2:41 pm

      • Keep ’em coming…whatever you call them!
