I like fog shots and these are good ones. I haven’t seen much fog here this season.
July 24, 2012 at 12:17 pm
Thank you. I like fog, too. I had to run to capture the fog this day. It was disappearing fast. 🙂

Strangely, Pond 2 is smiling at you, not because of it is in color, but full of life.
Hence, you feel contented too. What a harmony there = your eyes and the Pond being seen.
In fact there is no barrier between two.
July 24, 2012 at 5:32 pm
You’ve have expressed exactly the feeling I hoped to capture. What a lovely thought, the pond smiling. 🙂

Had I seen this without the context of your post, Melanie, I’d have taken it for a painting by a very gifted Japanese artist. Lovely work, and I love the composition.

I’ll just say that it looks like a delicate Japanese painting, almost monochrome in its effect. Lovely. Liked.

It appears that this one is a favorite among many. And I would have to agree that I like it very much as well. Not a direction you often take, but as I am aware, you like to experiment and try different things. This is one of those rare photos that seems to achieve an effortless perfection. Like several who commented, my first though was that it had a Japanese flavor to it, but to be honest, I know little about Japanese art and have no idea why I felt that. All I can say is you really nailed this!
