    M m m m, it’s quite a change isn’t it.
    Instead to piercing YOUR eyes deep into, the air permeate and absorbing your sense.
    It’s mean, your mind is now fully open = ready to receive and hear invisible and inaudible.

      Thank you, Pam and Sam. I’m only back for a few days before another trip (this time in the opposite direction… headed to Florida!) I’m glad you like this photograph. Actually, there are a pair of birds on this pond–a beautiful pair of loons, and I did, as a matter of fact, hear one calling as I took photographs that day. 🙂

      Thank you, Richard. Yes, it was an interesting race against the light, actually. I was hoping to catch it just as it was (I ran down to the water, when I saw the fog. The other shore (tree line, etc.) did look as though it were disappearing, and yet what was happening in reality was that the fog was beginning to dissipate and so they were really beginning to break through the fog and “reappear.” Fortunately, I clicked in time. 🙂

    Great shot, there’s very little in it but at the same time there’s so much going on. As Rick said in the comment above, a plethora of emotions to be evoked depending on the mood of the beholder. Emptiness full of something intangible!

      Hi, Michael. I’ve been out of town (and so out of touch)… Sorry for the late reply. This shot was all about timing. A mad dash from the deck down to the edge of the water before the fog lifted. It’s an early morning shot, so the light was just right. And then I post-processed in Lightroom 3 for the B&W. I’m way behind on everyone’s blogs, since I’ve been without a computer (on purpose… You know how it is; we all need a break from our technology every once in a while 🙂 ) But I’m back and will be catching up soon! Hope all is well with you!!

    Phenomenal photo! I really love this. It feels like it’s something more from a dream than real life. The more you try to think of the details the more they slip away. Excellent minimalist landscape. The reflection, the fog, the murkiness; it all really comes together.
