Have always loved clouds…..enjoy painting them too – my former art teacher a zillion years ago told me I had a “knack” for painting them but I just plain liked the challenge of making them look as soft as they seemed to be. Your photo with fluffy, cottonball-ish clouds is quite wonderful as a backdrop to the beautiful white flowers.
I agree on the annoying change WP instituted – took me a bit to figure out why my inbox was beyond full with comments!

This was a lucky day in terms of clouds. When I came by the hydrangeas on my walk, I was struck by the juxtaposition, and how the shapes of the clouds almost reflected the shapes of the clustered blossoms. I can imagine clouds would be very difficult to paint.
I think WP has changed the default mode back to what it was (so I changed my comment section back, too).
By the way, your book arrived yesterday. I don’t know if you saw one of my earlier replies to you but we ordered it on Tuesday (it had been in my shopping cart for a while and I finally ordered it with a few other items). We’re so excited to read it! This weekend offers a perfect time to settle down with Lillia for a first read of some of the stories. It looks wonderful!

Oh Melanie I’m so glad you are going to read to Lillia….can’t wait to hear if you both enjoy the stories. I had hoped to make the artwork more prominent but it added SIGNIFICANTLY to the cost of an already over-priced book (!!). You’re so kind to have bought it and I hope Lillia will consider it one of her favorites!

I like the way the the hydrangeas mimic the texture and coloration of the clouds, or is it the other way around?
