Mmmmm, Mushroom Biscuits

Thank you  to everyone who has stopped by in the last couple of days.  I’m so grateful for all of your words of support and encouragement. I’ve fallen terribly behind in my replies to comments and in my visits to all of your blogs.  Plus I waited until yesterday to do my taxes.  That was brilliant 😯 .

George, I’ll be over as soon as I can! I can’t wait! Care for a biscuit?

  4. Love this. They really do look like dinner rolls close up!

I also waited until yesterday to do my taxes. Welcome to the Procrastinator Club. I hope you at least got a little something back.

    • Glad you like my mushrooms, and glad I’m not the only one who waited until the end to do my taxes. I’m expecting a very little something back. The itsy, bitsy tiny reward is why I wait until the last minute. If I had something more substantial coming, I’d be a lot more motivated. 🙂

  5. What a funny mushroom! 😀

  6. I beat you by only two days and finished ours on Friday. I felt I could use something mushroomy by the time I was done–this was just the ticket (though I thought I’d see a recipe for real biscuits and photos of the process)!

    • 😀 Well if I had started on Friday, I wouldn’t have been as stressed out. I couldn’t find half of the stuff I needed. Somehow my papers got a bit disorganized. It all came together in the end though (as always). Hmmm, a recipe for real biscuits and photos of the process, now that’s an idea. As a southerner, I’ve certainly got a recipe on hand. Maybe I’ll give that a go sometime for a post!

WOW. I never saw mushrooms like these, I think. Of course, they look much different in macro size. Really interesting. And pretty too. We have hundreds of very tiny frog babies all over our yards. They are the size of a No. 2 pencil eraser. You’d like them! 😉

  10. I think lots of bloggers get ‘behind’ sometimes. I know I do.

Biscuits = bread rolls, then? They certainly do look like rolls/biscuits.

    April 17, 2012 at 6:49 am

    • Yes, I’m definitely behind. 🙂 I’m glad to know that it happens to others. Yes, biscuits can mean bread rolls, either dinner rolls or the yummy breakfast (or dinner, for that matter) biscuits that one often finds in the south of the U.S.

      • Thanks for explaining. I recently read ‘Bone by Bone’ by Tony Johnston, a book set in the southern states in which ‘biscuits’ appeared a number of times and perplexed me. In Australia and England we call ‘cookies’ ‘biscuits’.

  11. I’m glad the photos were actually of mushrooms…was wondering what mushroom biscuits would be like. 🙂

    April 17, 2012 at 12:41 pm

    • Ha ha ha! Yes, well, actually, now that I’ve posted this, I keep imagining what mushroom biscuits would taste like, and have this desire to invent a recipe. I’ll let you know how they are, if I make them. 🙂
