The last image reminds me of Miss Lily’s skeleton. What is this, really? It must be bubbles at the ends of some kind of branching plant. I love these images.
I can see why you would be reminded of Miss Lily’s skeleton. It is a plant of some sort, but I’m not sure what kind. I’ll have to take a look next time I’m up there. My parents will know what it is. I’m glad you like the images. Thank you for staying with me on this very long journey through the ice.
I LOVE spring, and am really looking forward to it. I really don’t know what direction I’ll be going at this point. It will be one photo at a time for now, until the madness strikes again.
Love these. Love all the ice images! So much great texture, composition, contrasts, colors in Mother Nature and your photographs. Thank you for sharing your visions with us, Melanie. I look forward to your next “madness.”

Just in time for spring!! And the new series will be…?????
Looking forward to it
Until next year then?
Exactly. The ice madness will definitely strike again next year. There is no escaping it.
I’d take it! I might even work that into my Blog title somehow.
It has been an amazing journey! Thank you for opening my eyes to the wonders of ice, Melanie.
Thank you so much, Allen. It has been such a pleasure to share my images with you!

Such nice words, Miss Maura. Thank you very much! You’ve been so kind to come along on the adventure!
Yep – love these too! Beautiful and imaginative. Some of them remind me of a gin and tonic…….
Ha ha! Glad you like these, and your comparison really makes me smile. Thanks!
Sorry to see the last of these – what a great series.
Thanks, Richard. It’s been really great to have you along for the adventure.
Lovely, as all your ice pix are. Thanks so much for posting them, even though they are “rejects”!
Thanks, skadhu. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed them.
A lovely good bye. These are all fascinating. Your pond has some magic going on there…
It is a magical place; I feel very lucky. Thank you very much, Karen, for your visits and support throughout my pond project. I’m very grateful.
These ice formations are just so interesting. It’s amazing what nature does.
Incredible, Melanie…that’s all…just incredible. Do you hear my applause? Clapping for you.
Wow, thank you, Scott! I’m really touched. Thank you so much for all of your support.
